⭐⭐⭐⭐ A fantastic day on the Rock – just watch out for the monkeys.
Gibraltar Upper Rock Nature Reserve的点评
点评：We chose to explore Gibraltar’s Nature Reserve on foot, and overall it was a fantastic experience with plenty to see along the way.
St Michael’s Cave is a definite must-see. It’s an impressive and atmospheric place and one of the highlights of the visit. The WWII tunnels are also fascinating and give a real insight into the strategic importance of Gibraltar during the war. Walking through the tunnels and seeing what was created inside the Rock is quite remarkable.
For those who enjoy heights, the Windsor Suspension Bridge is another highlight. Clinging to the side of the Rock, it certainly gives you an appreciation of just how high you are! Then there’s the Skywalk, with its glass platform and spectacular views across the Mediterranean. It’s not for anyone nervous about heights, but the views are well worth the few nervous steps onto the glass.
And, of course, you can’t visit the Nature Reserve without meeting the Barbary macaques. They are undoubtedly the stars of the show. Funny, curious and completely unconcerned about the tourists taking photographs of them, they seem to have mastered the art of making visitors feel like they are the ones being observed.
Some of them have also clearly perfected the art of looking innocent while keeping a very close eye on anything edible! They’re great fun to watch, but they are wild animals, so it’s important to give them space and not feed or provoke them.
Our only real downside was the number of tour buses. Having chosen to walk, we wanted to enjoy the scenery and atmosphere at our own pace, but the constant stream of coaches does take away from the experience. It’s difficult to feel completely immersed in nature when you’re regularly stepping aside for another bus.
That said, the combination of St Michael’s Cave, the WWII tunnels, Windsor Bridge, the Skywalk, spectacular views and, naturally, the mischievous monkeys makes the Nature Reserve well worth visiting.
The monkeys were the highlight — although I suspect they would give the experience five stars regardless, as they clearly believe they own the place!

当然，参观自然保护区时也一定不能错过巴巴里猕猴。它们无疑是这里的明星。真是有趣极了。它们既好奇又全然不在乎游客给它们拍照，似乎已经掌握了一种技巧——让游客觉得反而是自己在被它们观察。
有些小动物甚至还练就了装作天真无邪的样子，同时又密切留意着任何可食用的东西！观赏它们真是有趣极了，不过它们毕竟是野生动物，因此保持距离、切勿喂食或招惹它们至关重要。
我们遇到的唯一问题就是旅游巴士实在太多。我们选择步行……我们本想按照自己的节奏来欣赏这里的风景与氛围，但络绎不绝的旅游巴士确实破坏了这种体验。当你不得不频繁为其他巴士让路时，就很难完全沉浸在大自然之中了。
不过，圣迈克尔洞穴、二战地下隧道、温莎桥、空中步道以及绝美的景观，当然还有那些调皮捣蛋的猴子——这一切都使得这片自然保护区绝对值得一游。那些猴子是整个行程的亮点——不过我猜不管怎样它们都会给这次体验打五星，因为它们显然觉得自己才是这里的主人！
