Great Experience, worth a visit
埃勒凡塔石窟(象岛石窟)的点评
点评：Took the local ferry over to the island which we bought from the kiosk, ask a few locals were to buy from as there is a few vendors offering different experiences and boat types. Journey takes about 1 hour along a very busy harbour route.
Just after getting off the boat you pay small charge to enter island and then start your walk to the caves. Walking take about 20 mins up quite a lot of steps but they are made easier by a levelling out before more steps. Stall and vendors are on both sides on the way up but don't pressurise you into buying food, ornaments etc. On reaching to top you them pay to enter the caves which cost more for tourists.
We only went the first cave which is the main one as other reviews mention the other 4 caves have little inside. Very informative and eye opening history, worth noting he security guys take excellent photos and our worth time and tip.
Love this day out and recommend when in Mumbi, bad points are the plastic and general rubbish in the waterway on the way over to the caves was sad indictment to journey.
