点评：This place has the potential to be amazing, but sadly it is very run down and absolutely filthy, with large piles of smelly, decaying rubbish in many areas. It’s difficult to understand why it has been allowed to deteriorate like this, particularly given its religious significance and beautiful surroundings. It feels as though a relatively simple clean-up, together with measures to prevent rubbish being dumped within the temple grounds, could make an enormous difference.
Expect to be approached frequently during your visit, and be aware that you are likely to be asked for money if you agree to things such as entering certain temple areas or receiving a blessing.
It’s a real shame because, aside from these issues, this genuinely is an amazing and fascinating place. The monkeys are fabulous to watch and interact with, although I’d recommend being cautious and avoiding direct hand contact.
