Pleasant Visit During the Christmas Market
斯图加特王宫广场的点评
点评：The Schlossplatz is one of the major attractions in Stuttgart and has historically significant buildings in every direction. Just beside the square is the new palace, a popular shopping street area, shopping mall, an art museum and the old palace is a short walk away. There is a nice fountain, some monuments and a large ferris wheel in the area as well.
We visited during the Christmas Market and felt this is a very pleasant Christmas Market to visit. Good food and we enjoyed some very nice Gluhwein too. There are some good restaurants in the area and if you are looking for more affordable option the Königsbau Passagen shopping mall to the northwest has some budget friendly options and a grocery store.
Closest ubahn station is Schlossplatz but we stayed at a hotel near the Stuttgart Central Station and walked from that area to here each day we were in Stuttgart. If there is an event happening you could plan to spend a couple of hours here but if there is no special events happening you could spend 10 minutes and then move on because there is plenty to see in Stuttgart.
We would recommend bringing a good pair of shoes and dressing for the weather because the streets of Stuttgart will leave you pretty exposed particularly in the Palace Square area. We did a lot of walking in Stuttgart and did more than we expected.
