Must visit when in Guangzhou - felt like I was in Europe
沙面岛的点评
点评：Shaman Island has historic Colonial buildings where the British and French ran trading businesses and had banks.It is treelined with flowers and it gives the feeling of being in Europe. It is situated next to the Pearl river.
Most buildings seemed to be unoccupied- Starbucks occupies one historic building.Loved the architecture and the sense of history and reading the plaques on the building saying what the building was used for.
There is a Catholic Church in the neighbourhood was well.Interesting to see the stations of the cross in Chinese.
It was wonderful, to stroll along and there are cafes and tea shops.
Spent 2-3 hrs here walking around. Public Toilet facilities are limited a a bit of a hike.
Lots of tourists and local families walking around and influencers posing in front of buildings.
We went in the morning so not crowded.
