点评:I walked from the Old Town Square to the Trade Fair Palace, which took about 25 minutes. It's an enormous place, and at times you think it must have every painting ever made in Czechia on display. It was very quiet when I was there apart from the occasional school group. It's a big cube, but it's been done very well so it doesn't feel sterile like some (looking at you Leipzig). It seems that each section is arranged by theme rather than style, so for instance you find their collection of Picassos spread throughout the gallery rather than in one room. They also intersperse the internationally famous artists with the perhaps lesser known locals, and in truth it is all very high quality. I started on the top (4th) floor and I have to confess by the end of the 3rd I was pretty well cooked. If I lived locally I think I'd do part of a floor every few months to make it more manageable. I enjoyed how proud the lovely ladies in the cloakroom were of their National Gallery, and though I may not agree with them that it's better than London or Vienna, I would certainly recommend a visit to this magnificent place during your time in Prague.
