点评:I had wanted to give Tsodillo four stars due to the truly horrible road that took us almost two hours, but my family wanted to give it ten instead. Be aware that after heavy rain some clay sections of the road will be all but impassable, even to 4x4s. Anyway, we struck it lucky to have Lopang as our guide and he went to a lot of trouble to make sure we saw as much as possible. He was highly informed and could even give us the approximate ages of various rock art. While a high-clearance 2x4 vehicle should theoretically get to the little museum complex, several of the roads from there have very thick sand. The paintings were quite varied with eland ubiquitous as usual, being the only wild African antelope with a high percentage of body fat, highly prized by the ancient hunters. It would have been nice to camp here, thus being afforded the chance to explore the Male hill as well, but in any case, the most and best art is found on the Female hill. Bring good walking shoes, a hat, pack a picnic and bring lots of water. Definitely a bucket list tick.
