Great atmosphere, a must see in my opinion

点评：actual visit was August 2024, but only just got round to reviewing it
This was the first place we actually visited on our trip to Ho Chi Minh, it was absolutely pouring down outside with rain bouncing off the street so it was great to be dry, and WHAT an experience it was, a bit of haggling here and there, some interesting purchases, but more importantly was the feel of the place, it had its own atmosphere, I can imagine a shy couple might be overwhelmed but we a family of four adults loved the bustle of the place, we ate on plastic stools with bowls / plates of pho resting on upturned plastic crates and the food was great. We actually went back again twice more, once to see other areas of the market which is huge we never covered the first time and once to buy umbrellas in the no haggle zone. It felt very safe and quite friendly.
