点评：We visited the Temple of the Emerald Buddha during our time in Bangkok, and it turned out to be one of the most memorable parts of the trip.
The moment you walk into the complex, you feel the scale and detail of the place. The architecture is striking. Every surface seems carefully designed, from the gold detailing to the vibrant colours. It is busy, but not chaotic.
Inside the main temple, the atmosphere shifts. It becomes quiet, almost reflective. The Emerald Buddha itself is smaller than you might expect, but it carries a strong presence. People sit in silence, taking it in, and you naturally slow down.
A few things that stood out:
• The level of craftsmanship across the entire complex
• The sense of order despite the number of visitors
• The contrast between the outside grandeur and the calm inside
Dress modestly. They are strict about it, and rightly so.
Go early if you can. It gets crowded quickly, and the experience is very different when you have a bit of space.
