点评:First things first. Admission is free, except for the orchid garden, which has several concession rates.
It is difficult to imagine this huge garden is within a smallish portion of a small island city state. Singapore is the absolute master of planning and has always made the best of everything it has and everything go further. Walking in the (actually rather small) rainforest section, I was hard-pressed to tell it apart from a jungle in Sarawak or Sabah when I was on multi day adventures.
This is the only tropical garden in the world to have UNESCO Heritage status. For very good reasons. Many countries are blessed with huge ancient natural jungles with countless plants but Singapore has planned and executed probably one of the best, curated, presentations of tropical plants are n the world. I have visited Kew Gardens many times and it is an absolute favourite of mine but the Botanical Gardens feels more natural and pristine.
Indeed, the best things in life are free.
