Very interesting museum- a different perspective!

点评：If you are interested in the silk route and the civilisations that contributed to it, this will be a good place for you. The
many and varied exhibits are interesting and well displayed with good information. There are guided tours but we chose to freedom walk and felt we gained enough information. Beautiful artifacts from ceramics, pottery and fabrics and furniture to religious items from across Asia and beyond, were all well displayed. The space is quite a labyrinth, but there are plenty of staff available to point you in the right direction. There is a modest admission fee. There is a cafe - looked nice but we didn't try it. There are also lifts. One thing that would improve the experience for me would be a slightly larger font on the display information. I could read it, but had to peer closely to decipher in the appropriately dim lighting. I realise this will not be a problem for everyone - but it was a brief comment exchanged with another couple in our (retired) age group who were there at the same time as us.
