The Egyptian Museum in Cairo is a must see 👀

点评：What an absolute highlight of our Egypt trip! After making the long 289-mile round trip from Hurghada, we stopped at the Grand Egyptian Museum on our way to the Pyramids and it was 100% worth every single mile of the journey. Leaving at 2am our tiny tour bus sped towards Cario breaking land speed records.
From the moment you walk in, the scale and beauty of the place leave you speechless. The lighting, the layout, and the way they’ve displayed the artifacts are world-class. We were blown away by the sheer number of incredible pieces — especially the Tutankhamun collection, its strictly no photos in this room, but for whatever reason the guard left his post to challenge some tourists and another large group of tourists starting taking pictures of the Tutankhamun bust so I decided to take a cheeky snap as well.
which is stunningly presented. Seeing the golden treasures, the chariots, the statues, and the everyday items from ancient Egypt up close was a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
The staff were helpful, the museum was clean and well-organized, and there’s so much to see that you could easily spend half a day here. It perfectly set the tone for our visit to the Pyramids right afterwards — you really feel the weight of thousands of years of history.
If you’re coming from Hurghada or anywhere else in Egypt, do not skip this museum. It’s a must-see. We left feeling completely in awe of ancient Egyptian civilization. Highly, highly recommended!
