A very disappointing evening at The Rose Inn

点评：We went to The Rose Inn tonight for dinner, and unfortunately it was a let‑down from the moment we walked in. The place was completely empty at 7:30pm on a Saturday night, which should have been the first warning sign.
What really pushed the experience downhill was the service. Our waitress spent more time chatting nearby than actually checking on us, and at one point we found ourselves entertaining her three‑year‑old daughter at our table. A toddler shouldn’t be left wandering around guests, and certainly not left for customers to look after. It was awkward, unprofessional, and honestly quite concerning.
The food itself was… fine. Nothing terrible, nothing memorable. But the service overshadowed everything. It’s a shame, because the pub could have potential, but with this level of inattentiveness and lack of basic professionalism, it’s easy to see why the place was empty.
We won’t be rushing back.
