棉花堡温泉池的点评
点评：We had done Ephesus on our own. However due to the distance from where we were at Kusadasi we decided to do the trip with Tui. What a great decision it was, we did have reservations but we needn’t have had any.
Early start at 6.30am. The trip of over 3 hours went quickly with a toilet/coffee break.
The pools at Pamukkale are stunning, beautiful blue water, at the very edge of a high outcrop overlooking the huge valley below. The views were fabulous.
After an ankle dip in the blue pools and pictures we paid the £10 fee to swim in the Cleopatras Pool. Changing rooms and lockers included. A no hassle experience which was surprisingly not too crowded. Lovely warm waters with ruins underneath your feet (see pictures). Well worth doing.
We were then left to our own devices for 1 & 1/2 hours. Now all I’d say here is if we were doing this on our own we could have spent all day here. The site is 1.5 kms long! So there were things we did not get to see because they were a fair walk away.
The majority of Hierapolis (the city) is on a huge plateau but there are a couple of walks up hill to see the Amphitheatre and a few other sites. Not too strenuous though. Hisrpolis must have been the most amazing city in its day. Its setting is so beautiful high up above the valley below.
After our trip to Pamukkale and Hierpolis we visited a 5 star hotel with hot water springs and mud baths. All included, as was the nice buffet meal (drinks not included but very cheap).
A super day out which exceeded our expectations and thank you to Tui and Ezra our wonderful guide.
Note. There was talk that the pools are struggling due to lack of water. Vast areas had no water. It was sad to see, but at the same time some areas are so stunning. We were glad we went because I’m not sure this unique area will be around in a generation or so. It needs to be treated with great care. I hope they preserve it.

之后我们有1个半小时的时间可以自由活动。说实话，如果是我们自己来玩，说不定能待上一整天呢。整个景区绵延1.5公里之长啊！有些景点我们没能去参观，因为它们离得相当远。
希拉波利斯城的大部分区域都位于一片巨大的高原上，不过要去看圆形剧场及其他几处遗迹的话，需要走上一段上坡路。不过倒也不算太费力。希拉波利斯在当年肯定是一座极为宏伟的城市，它坐落在高处，俯瞰着下方的山谷，环境极其优美。
游览完帕穆克卡莱和希拉波利斯后，我们去了一家提供温泉和泥浴服务的五星级酒店。所有这些服务都是免费的。自助餐也很不错（饮料需另付费，但价格非常便宜）。
这是一次超棒的外出体验，完全超出了我们的预期。感谢Tui以及我们出色的导游Ezra。
注：有消息称，由于缺水，那些水池面临着干涸的危机。大片区域已经没有水了。看到这种情况令人难过，但与此同时，有些地方的景色实在美得惊人。我们很高兴自己去了，因为我不确定这片独特的区域还能在未来几十年里存续下去。它需要我们悉心呵护。希望他们能好好保护它。
