Amazing day & new friends in Douro
Fantastic Douro的点评
点评：We booked Pedro after reading his reviews online, and he got back to us straight away on WhatsApp. We planned everything last minute the night before, and the next morning he picked us up in a lovely, spacious, air conditioned car with bottles of water waiting for us.
Pedro asked us loads of questions and shared so much history about the Douro region along the way. He organised a boat tour along the river, then took us to a family run vineyard that's been going for seven generations, where we did wine and port tastings. I felt completely relaxed the whole time. He stayed with us throughout, chatted with us, answered every question and took loads of photos for us.
He then brought us for lunch in his village, a fantastic three course meal with a bottle of wine, and the food was superb. He even took us to a local bar to introduce us to some people, and we chatted about football, life in Portugal and life back home. It was so lovely to become friends.
We've since booked him for an airport transfer too, at a very good rate. Pedro is a wonderful host and we couldn't recommend him more highly to anyone visiting the region. A day full of laughs, learning lots of new things, great company and great wine! A brilliant private tour and a genuinely great guy. Lovely to have new friends in Douro!
