Wonderful Kiwi Encounter and Beautiful Gardens

点评：We enjoyed our visit to Kiwi Park in Queenstown. The opportunity to see kiwi up close was an absolute highlight and something we had really been looking forward to. We were genuinely surprised by just how large and active these fascinating birds are! Watching them moving around was a wonderful experience and certainly made the visit worthwhile.
The kea were another standout. Such beautiful, intelligent and cheeky birds, full of personality and an absolute delight to watch.
The park itself is set amongst beautiful, well-maintained gardens, creating a lovely natural environment. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and it was encouraging to see the work being undertaken to support New Zealand's native wildlife.
There are a few things worth considering before visiting. The walk through the park is quite steep, and once inside, the attractions are fairly spread out, with some additional walking that seemed a little unnecessary. We didn't manage to explore the entire park as a result. The admission price is also a little expensive, although knowing that it contributes towards kiwi conservation makes it easier to justify.
While reptiles aren't particularly our interest, it's nice that the park provides an opportunity for others to see them. We would also have loved the chance to see a kākāpō, which would have made the experience even more special.
Overall, a very worthwhile visit, particularly for the unforgettable kiwi encounter and the entertaining kea. Despite the steep walking and slightly high admission price, the beautiful gardens, friendly staff and important conservation work make Kiwi Park a wonderful attraction. Highly recommended for anyone wanting to experience New Zealand's remarkable native birds up close!
