My bad experience at old St Paul church, Wellington
旧圣保罗大教堂的点评
点评：My husband and I visited Old St Paul’s Church on 07/12/2025 around 2 pm. We’ve visited three times before and were always able to take a few photos like other visitors. Today, after making a donation, we took a couple of photos following our prayer. However, the elderly man at the door repeatedly approached us, saying we should not take photos—even though many other visitors around us were taking several photos without any issue.
There were no signs stating photography is prohibited, and even our previous visits were never restricted. His behaviour felt targeted and made us extremely uncomfortable. When we stopped taking photos and simply tried to sit quietly and pray, he still insisted we leave immediately, saying a group was coming—yet the group arrived almost 30 minutes later.
This experience felt discriminatory and deeply disappointing. We paid like every other visitor and expected equal treatment. Heritage sites should be welcoming to everyone, and staff should act with fairness and respect.
