点评:Somewhere to certainly consider for your Jersey holiday itinerary. The lack of modern day noise at its location being perhaps an odd thing to comment on, but it was noticeable. The free range chickens tie the various parts together!
Our visit was constrained by the uncertainty of our return bus journey. The bus timetable has a stop listed as Hamptonne Museuem outbound from St Helier on Route 7, but not for the return journey. The driver (Polish?) seemed unsure where it was when asked. A local fellow passenger helped us out. The bus dropped us seemingly in the middle of no-where, but the passenger had said walk down the road leading off the "main" road at right angles. I do not recall any signage at the main road.. It took about 10 minutes to get to the museum.
We could see no bus stop where we alighted for our return journey on the hourly service such that we were concerned about how we were to get back and not having a long wait if we missed it, which reduced the time we spent at the museum. Reception had a paper map which took us to the garage at the north end of the village on the main road – a slightly longer walk than when arriving.
I feel that the attraction should include a detailed map on its web site for bus passengers and have a professional sign board visible for arriving “pedestrian” customers clearly showing where the return stop is and how long it should take to walk there.
Better access information would have resulted if a 5 star revue.
