Bladnoch Distillery的点评
点评：Arrived to Bladnoch Distillery via the 1004 bus from Wigtown. It was highly recommended by the Scottish locals in the town. After my visit, I agree with them. I arrived an hour early for my 1100 tour. Fortunately for me, I was able to enjoy the in house cafe, which serves hot drinks and baked goods.
The friendly tour guide, Innes, asked a couple questions ahead of time to better get to know us. Then during the tour, he emphasized information of interest and different facts based on the interests of the folks on the tour including me. The on fly briefing change to cater to his audience highlights how Innes is very knowledgeable about the craft. Very thorough yet entertaining short lecture on the facilities, history of whiskey in Scotland, Bradloch, and their current stock. Later on during the tastings, he recommended to each of us what we preferred after the set tasting list and seeing our preferences.
While I arrived by bus, if the weather was nicer it would have been an easy walk from Wigtown. The return bus is at 1216, so if you’re taking public transit, time your tour time around that. If you’re driving, there are plenty of parking spaces at the location.
It was an enjoyable trip regardless of the poor weather. 10/10 recommend stopping into one of the oldest whiskey distilleries in Scotland for a taste, a tour and a terribly good time.
