点评：Upon arrival, the first thing to strike you is there is plenty of car parking, which is free. There is a short walk to the entrance, where staff greet you, and then you are guided to the reception / pay point. Once onsite , you are presented with a longship, which is very impressive. You are given a map of the complex, and it is very easy to navigate and find your way around. This is great fun if you have younger children, who can test their geography map skills. The grounds are extensive and naturally beautiful, but the ground is very uneven in places, so take care. Good walking boots are a must, as are a good coat in case the weather changes. It was very windy and quite cold on the day we went. There are exhibition halls and the house of the former owner whose colleague discovered the find. There is a fantastic tower where you can walk to the top and the view are amazing of the burial grounds. There is a gift shop which has some excellent items, but some are very expensive. There is also a café, which was busy but looked really good, although we did not use it as we had our own food.
All in all, we thought it was a good day out whether you go as a family or not. The prices are very reasonable and no need to pre-book online, they accept payment on the day. Would recommend a visit. Allow 2-3 hours minimum, as the site is huge.
