No longer the zoo that we loved

点评：Having previously been a pass holder and regular visitor to the zoo I was very disappointed with our trip this half term. The previously beloved animal show has been replaced by something that belongs at butlins. Far from the educational and informative show that showed the keepers passion for the animals, we found ourselves watching an animatronic parrot and someone dressed in a tiger costume performing a budget pantomime. This experience was sadly reflected all around the zoo as it is clear that conservation and dedication to animals has been replaced by cheap commercialisation. It was a very depressing experience that left my three children feeling sad at how their favourite zoo had changed.
We will not return. as my 9 year old said on the way to the car 'we need a new zoo to visit, one where they still love the animals and don't just want our money'.
