Lakeside & Haverthwaite Steam Railway的点评
点评：We had a fantastic day at the steam railway, and it was one of the highlights of our visit to the Lake District.
As an autistic adult, I can sometimes find new environments and busy attractions overwhelming, but the staff were absolutely wonderful. They were kind, patient, and respectful throughout our visit, and they accommodated my needs without any fuss or making me feel different. Their understanding and compassion made me feel comfortable and able to fully enjoy the experience.
The railway itself is beautifully preserved, the steam train journey is relaxing, and the scenery along the route is stunning. It’s clear how much passion and care goes into maintaining the railway and creating such an enjoyable experience for visitors.
The station facilities were excellent, with a lovely café and gift shop, and everything was well organised. Every member of staff we encountered was friendly, welcoming, and happy to help.
I would highly recommend the steam railway to anyone visiting the Lake District. It’s a wonderful day out, and as an autistic adult, I truly appreciated how inclusive and accommodating the team were. Thank you for making us feel so welcome—we’ll definitely be back!
