点评：Visiting Rumeli Fortress was one of the highlights of our time in Istanbul. Set right on the Bosphorus, the views alone make it worth the trip absolutely stunning from every angle.
The fortress itself is incredibly impressive, with massive stone walls and towers that instantly transport you back in time. Knowing it was built in 1452 as part of the preparations for the conquest of Constantinople adds a whole new level of appreciation to the experience.
Walking around the grounds is both peaceful and fascinating. There are informative signs explaining the history, and you can explore different sections of the fortress at your own pace. Some areas may be partially restricted, but there’s still plenty to see and enjoy.
What really stood out was the combination of history and scenery few places offer such a unique mix of cultural significance and breathtaking waterfront views.
Definitely recommend visiting, especially if you enjoy history, photography, or just want a quieter escape from the busy city center.
