点评:About ten days before our visit, my boyfriend and I noticed a sign advertising the Levi Strauss Museum while driving on the highway toward Bamberg. It immediately caught our attention and sparked our curiosity, so we decided to visit the museum at the end of september - and we're very glad we did.
The museum is located in the birthplace of Levi Strauss, which already makes the visit special. Upon arrival, visitors receive an audio guide; we used the German version, but I believe an English one is also available. The exhibition is clearly structured with numbered stations, making it very easy to navigate through the museum.
The content is extremely interesting and informative. You learn a lot about Levi Strauss's early life in Buttenheim, his emigration to the United States, the invention of jeans, and the founding of the Levi's company. The exhibition also covers aspects of the company's more recent history, which adds a nice modern perspective.
At the end of the visit, there is a shop where you can buy Levi's jeans as well as a small selection of souvenirs. I personally picked a few postcards as a memento.
Overall, this museum is a wonderful surprise and absolutely worth a visit - whether you're a fan of jeans, history, or simply looking for something unique to explore in the region. Highly recommended!
