点评:June 18-19, 2026. Site A10. Somewhat Level ( put boards on 1 side) and long enough for our 32 ft. Camper. Very cute little campground and very nice hosts! The roads are a little tight on the curves for longer campers. There is not a camper registration booth- you just go to your site. The Park Ranger stopped by when we arrived early at 1pm and told us it was fine to stay in our site. We wanted to get there early so we could unhook and driver to Crater. You can tell a fire went through the area back in 2021 we found out. They tried to save the State Park but some of the buildings had to be rebuilt. The cement bathhouse is very outdated and not very good looking. They were clean, just looked dirty because it is so old.
We drove the 50 min to Crater National Park to explore. Campers are not recommended on those roads so that is why we dropped ours at the campground.
We also spent a 1/2 day taking our kayaks down the Wood River in Jackson Kimball Recreation Area. We put in at the Jackson Kimball campground and then took out 5.35 miles later at the Wood River Day Use area. My husband had driven the truck to the end and biked 2.8 miles back to the beginning so we would be able to load up our kayaks at the end.
