点评:Small quiet campground with mostly overnight travelers. Plentiful trails up and downstream, and especially, a ½ mi trail under 97 to the Logging Museum. The trails can be a powder-y dirt so closed shoes are best. Hot in the summer with chilly overnight temps. Mostly shady, nice breeze. Tons of chipmunks and several birds. On the Williamson River where Spring Creek— almost a large– flows into it. Neither offers good shore access for swimming or wading, and the current of both is swift. It seems great for kayaking with a few riffles and lots of calm areas but not familiar with streams. I did not know about the 14,000 acre Two Four Two fire of 2020 and the scars are all around. The ponderosa pine standing and down is some of the largest we’ve seen. You can hear distant traffic on 97, and a more distant train horn.
