Parco Archeologico di Ostia Antica的点评
点评：This is one of the best Roman archaeological site i have ever visited. Better than Pompeii or Herculaneum, better than the site at the Foot of Mount Olympus. Beaten only in grandeur by the Forum in Rome but if it is sheer scale and extent of the ruins you are after then Ostia Antica wins hands down.
The entire Roman town is here, from cemeteries and warehouses to temples to the Gods and public buildings and plazas. The place is stunning. Walk down old Roman streets with wheel marks carved into the stone cobbles from ancient traders hauling goods on carts. See the enormous frescos, the biggest i have personally ever seen.
Access from Rome is easy. Just a 30 minute ride on the metromare line from Rome S Paulo station to the station at Ostia Antica from where it is a 15 minute walk to the entrance. You can get day tickets or multi-day tickets.
There are toilets and a museum and cafe on site (note the latter was closed for refurbishment when we visited at the end of November 2025 so bring some food if visiting before the end of the year).
