The self-guided driving tour is a must-do in Milledgeville

点评：This is in regards to the self-guided driving tour...
It was a Sunday and we were visiting in town and just needed to find something to do for a few hours with our dog in the car. So, we stumbled across this abandoned insane asylum city.
It started at the visitor's center where we picked up a guide...they are located on the outside of the building in plastic brochure containers.
We had a lot of fun on this journey!!! The guide book was confusing and not accurate so it made it even more fun, like a scavenger hunt lol!
It wasn't until the end when we found a map on a roadside board...it was very detailed and showed everything with an accurate map! We didn't realized this place was a small city complete with it's own power plant, dentists, firefighters, prisons, chapels, police, etc. There are a lot of buildings not listed or described in the tour guide so you will be left hanging. But, if you can find that map it's a game changer!
*To the driving tour creators: little signs matching the tour guide's numbers would be so helpful. We found the 7 minute video on YouTube but it would be great if it was a full narration of each building with instructions as to where to drive next, etc....like "stop here and drive to #6 then a full history is given. This has so much potention to be a Milledgeville hotspot if done right.

*给驾车游览路线的策划者们：如果能设置一些与导游讲解编号对应的小标识，那就太有帮助了。我们在YouTube上找到了一段7分钟的视频，不过如果能对每栋建筑都进行详细讲解，并给出接下来该驶向哪里的指引就更好了……比如：“在此处停车，然后驶向6号点”，接着再讲述该建筑的历史。只要做得妥当，这完全可以成为米利奇维尔的一个热门旅游亮点。
