点评：This trip was a very pleasant experience. We chose the open air car so we could enjoy the breezes and have a great view since the seats face outwards. Our car host was Jeff and he was very informative, pleasant, helpful, and funny. He passed out a sheet of paper for kids and adults to look for all the landmarks we saw along the way. The trip was about an hour, and then we had two hours at the destination to wander about and eat lunch. We stopped at the visitor center across the river and got some good maps and learned a few things about the Copper Hill mining area. I love trains and this one is lovingly restored & the volunteers and staff are cheerful and helpful. The only bad thing was when we looked for free public parking the signs all said three hours only, and the trip was four hours, so we didn’t want to take a chance. We ended up in a parking lot that charged us $20 for the trip! Otherwise the day was pleasant and just what I needed for a little birthday journey.
