Electric Rail bikes for the win!
Blue Ridge Scenic Railway的点评
点评：I learned of the rail bike concept from social media and was excited when I learned it was near me, 1.5 hr away! This was a fun 2 hour experience through North GA hills. I also did this as part of a scratch off Adventure card kit for activities in Georgia.
Each bike car is 4 seats. I went as a solo rider and was paired with a family of 3, and lucky for me, they were great!
PROS:
- Check-in and meeting point are clearly marked.
- Plenty of parking.
- Downtown Blue Ridge with lots of shopping and restaurants, perfect for a weekend getaway activity
- 5.5 miles each way with beautiful scenery
- This vendor uses electric bikes.
- Staff was friendly and knowledgeable, provided very clear instructions, and even a little history too.
- Shout-out to Jordan, Page, Audra?, Austin, and a fifth person that I don’t remember their name.
CONS:
- Someone said there is a bathroom at the turnaround point. It’s a portable potty (sp). Not a problem for me but could be for others.
NOTE:
- We had great weather (yay for us) but this would be miserable in rain.
- I wore a front cross-body bag, but there is also a tray on the back of each seat for water or belongings.
