A fantastic safari and invaluable lessons in The Art of Photographic Story Telling!!

点评：This was our fifth African safari and our first in South Africa. It was spectacular!!
Karen Blackwood (Blackwood Safaris) planned every detail of this trip beautifully, taking the time to find out who we and what our goals/wishes/dreams for this trip were. From the moment that we landed in Johannesburg to when we left, everything was seamless.
Endlessly energetic, knowledgeable, dedicated, attentive, and patient, Karen customized her advice and instruction to each of our needs. The results: stunning photos capturing everything from the early morning, steaming breath expelled by a roaring lion, a rose-colored, air bound squirrel eluding the golden outline of a leopardess in a treetop, to a soft-skinned baby rhino peeking out from behind its mom. These are not simply lessons in wildlife photography but in the art of it and in photographic story telling.
We first stayed at the traditional Pungwe Safari Camp in the Manyeleti Game Reserve and thereafter at Nkoro lodge in Sabi Sands. At Pungwe, our driver/tracker and field guide Never and at Nkoro our field guide/driver Pieter and Tracker Chris provided incredible animal sightings and collaborated with Karen to find the most interesting lighting and photo opportunities.
At Pungwe Safari Camp in the Manyeleti Game Reserve, dedicated Michel our camp host was deeply involved in anti-poaching activities and gave us insights into the ongoing anti-poaching battles, and the history and evolution of Kruger and its adjacent invaluable game reserves.
At both lodges the staff were exceptional.
Every aspect of this safari was outstanding!
