点评:So disappointed with our visit to Brickenden and Woolmer’s Estates. Firstly the woman at Brickenden considered my 16yo son to be ‘an adult’ and charged me two adult tickets. I had ID showing that he was 16 and the website clearly says children ‘aged 16 and under’, but she coyly made some comment about ‘16yo are considered adults these days aren’t they’. Then we get to Woolmers: the house itself is closed for ‘annual cleaning’, the cafe at the entrance has a couple of sandwiches to order but that’s all, the other cafe only has half the items on the menu available, the staff are disorganised, unfriendly, and defensive. Really, whoever is running these places needs to have a rethink; I appreciate that it’s winter and there are less tourists around but either be open or be closed. Either way, get a bit professional and give people the experience they are paying (or in some cases overpaying) for; I am so disappointed!
