点评:I had fond memories of LSC from when my kids were young (pre-Internet) so I booked a visit with a Groupon for my two grandsons, 6 of us as a group. I use an up walker and hubby used a cane. I will say EVERYTHING was very handicap accessible and that made the visit better. We made the most of the day, driving in from LI is not a joy but it was a clear day and perfect for a museum.
The checkin for the Groupon was painfully long. And the Haberman Sphere that stuck in my mind as one of the most mesmerizing exhibits was shrunken and inoperable. I think that was the biggest disappointment. Plus no printed map brochures, have to go on your phone for everything. I had pre-printed floors 1-3 which my daughter-in-law a teacher, found helpful. So we did the 3D T Rex movie and the Planetarium ($96 add ons) and they were good. I wasn't blown away. Our 10 year old was getting bored by the end of Black holes and Cosmos show. But all in all, it was a fun filled day. Would I do it again next year? Probably not. The sensory tunnel that another poster thought was great, our boys just thought it was pitch black and found their way right through it. I think we made them go wash their hands afterwards. The science was there if you looked for it.
