点评：Just wanted to share something on a recent visit to Furong that I hadn't seen written about before we went. All foreigners are required to enter through a main gate, after you have paid an entrance fee. The river and falls are in a valley, with most of the hotels on both sides of the steep hill of the valley. Therefore, many of the hotels will have a view of the falls, and also the river.
Getting to your hotel from the main entrance requires you to go up and down uneven stairs which range from 3-15 at a time. Our hotel was towards the opposite end of the town from where the entrance gate is, and I estimated that we had to go up and down about 150-200 stairs before reaching our hotel, with me lifting and pushing a 45 pound suitcase (20.5 kilos) the entire way. I was sweating by the time we got to our hotel.
So my suggestion is that you take note of how far your hotel is from the entrance gate, especially if you are carrying more than a backpack. Oh, and something else. I don't know if this was special to our hotel or if most of the others have the same practice. But they don't want you to throw used toilet paper in the toilet. They want you to throw it in the waste paper basket next to the toilet, so it doesn't clog it up. You read that right.
