点评:Getting there - We caught the number 2 bus from the bus station. You can also get the number 1 and probably others. It’s only a short distance bus ride - approx 10 minutes. We visited on 14 June and the bus was had only 4 passengers. The bus takes you to the upper entrance and ticket office. I think the bus was under €5 for two persons one way. You can pay on the bus. Buses are frequent, approx ever 30 mins.
Similarly there was no entrance queue to enter the Valley. €16 per person entry. You can buy an audio tour, but you have to take it back to the start (a crazy idea), which is a long walk from the exit area. There is a shuttle back to the start at €4 per person one way.
Touring the site is a one way walk from the top to the bottom. You can do it in reverse, but it’s quite an uphill slog in the sun.
We bought an English guide book which explained each monument €6 I think. There are good multi language signs in front of each area.
The site took us about 2 1/2 hour to complete. We did not visit the museum. It was a hot sunny day, so take water and sun cream. There is some shade as you explore the site.
The temples are magnificent and worthy of their World Heritage status.
