What a waste of money!! This isn’t a true lounge

点评：I have given this lounge one star simply for the ladies on reception that were friendly and smiley. They are the only good thing about this place. This is a £30 per person lounge which is downstairs away from the main Concourse. The lift is not working, so you have to carry your cabin luggage down the stairs which this information was not provided in advance and two members of the party are medically unfit due to operations and therefore could not carry their luggage so I had to carry all three. On entering the lounge you are given a table that has been reserved for you, but this is just a bog standard table with basic armchairs. Nothing particularly comfortable. The table we had for three people was really big enough for two. The breakfast included is pretty basic and honestly you can get better food upstairs on the main concourse. Doesn’t help that I am vegetarian so options were even more limited. Coffee is out of a machine so if you want a latte that’s a non-dairy option then you’re not gonna get one and you will need to head upstairs to the main concourse to get that. To top it all off there are no toilets in this lounge and you are expected to go back upstairs and the long walk down the toilet corridor to join everybody else in the queue. Going in this lounge is a totally pointless exercise. I use Stanstead regularly and there are many good restaurants with comfortable seating that you can sit and have a breakfast in while you’re waiting for your plane. Those restaurants often have their own toilets and will provide you with an oat milk coffee for example. I would avoid this place like the plague. It’s just a bit of a scam.
