I am writing to formally complain about my recent visit to Butterfly World, which was extremely disappointing.
During our time in the greenhouse, there were ants all over the area and we saw no butterflies at all. This was not what we expected from the experience and raised concerns about the upkeep and management of the enclosure.
In addition, the gentleman I spoke to was extremely rude and spoke down to both me and my partner as though we were idiots. He did not seem interested in answering any of the questions I had. When I asked about an enclosure that appeared unfinished, I was simply told to “wait and see when it’s finished,” with no effort made to explain further.
It was also noticeable that he spoke in a much more engaged and friendly way to someone he appeared to know, while being dismissive and unhelpful towards us. This made the experience feel unwelcoming and unprofessional
As a result of this visit, I will not be returning and I will be sharing my experience with others. I hope this feedback is taken seriously and that improvements are made to both customer service and the overall visitor experience.
