点评：We went to check out the elephant exhibit which was good. We were disappointed that there were several activities in the main building that were out of order. There is not much available for snacks/lunch, so it was good that we brought a picnic.
There are a lot of hands on activities/exhibits, but they weren’t very compelling for my 11 year old, and required too much reading/explaining for my 6 year old to access independently.
Accessibility: outside there is a very long flight of stairs that is in disrepair and could be very dangerous. Inside some of the exhibits/displays are arranged in ways that would make navigation with a stroller or wheelchair challenging, especially if we were there on a busy day.
The fonts on a lot of the displays are small requiring you to get very close which blocks the views of other visitors.
Maps and signage could be more clear (and more numerous) for navigating the outside areas.
Cost: $60 for 1 adult and 2 kids. Too expensive. We got in for $54 with a AAA discount. I thought it was free with my MTA card, otherwise we probably would have skipped it.
If we lived nearby a membership would be a good idea to pop in and out of the exhibits and grounds (which were nice!), but being 90 minutes away I don’t anticipate we’ll be back.
