Lots of closed rides, long queues, really disappointing

点评：We are used to theme parks, family of 5 have done many theme parks in different countries.
We were expecting big crowds and school tours, which there were.
The setting and the gardens were nice.
The issue was with the rides and queuing.
The queue times were 60-140 mins.
There were a number of things I thought the theme park management could have done to improve this.
We were in a queue for Rita for 40 mins when they closed it.
Same with the runaway train later in the day, queued for 30mins for the ride to close.
Thirteen closed then as well.
This impacts the queue times in other rides.
There were 3 major thrill rides closed for a big portion of the day.
Extend opening hours. With parks only open from 10am-6pm waiting 2 hours for 1 ride means only a handful of rides in a day. Some rides only open at 11am some closed at 5pm. There are huge walks between each of the different areas 15-20mins with lots of steps and hills, unless you want to wait for the train. This limits the number of rides you can get to in a day as well.
More staff. There were only 3 staff on Oblivian so they could only line up, load and unload people for 1 ride cart, where there was obviously space to do this for 2 carts which would have sped up turnaround time but no staff to do it.
Oblivian is a 10 second ride. We did it first thing so waited 35mins but queue times later in the day hit a lot longer which wouldnt have been worth it.
All ride times were very short.
Theming was only ok. The Hex ride had good theming linked to the towers.
A lot of rides and the queuing areas are dated, they are in need of a powerwash, repaint and refresh.
Lots of litter everywhere. Gum stuck to railings, not enough bins in queues.
People vaping all over the place and in queues. No staff or security seen anywhere around the park, just at the entrance and then inside rides.
App was ok but because everything is so spread out the map was hard to navigate. If you put location on it will give a route and it is needed. Bad signage around the park. There was a few physical maps around the park with a better layout/easier to understand than the map on the app. No Data signal in a lot of parts around the park.
As expected this time of year lots of wild, loud, unsupervised teenagers on school tours hopped up on Monster drinks. They let too many school tours in.
Snacks, drinks, food rip off prices.
Fast pass prices absolutely crazy rip off.
Might be ok for small kids looking to do the Cbeebies area and walk the gardens.
For thrill rides a definite miss not worth the money. Rides cpuld be good but we only got 4 thrill rides and 3 attractions in a full 10am-6pm day of queuing, we had snacks in the queue and a 15 min lunch stop.
We were going to do a short break with Alton Towers so glad we didnt.

不出所料，每年这个时候都会有大量喝着“Monster”能量饮料、疯狂又吵闹且无人看管的中学生团体来参观。公园允许太多这样的团体进入。
这里的零食、饮料和食品价格贵得离谱。快速通行证的定价更是荒谬至极，简直就是趁火打劫。对于只想玩Cbeebies区域以及逛逛花园的小孩子来说，或许还行。
至于刺激类游乐项目，绝对不值得去，也不值那个价钱。这些项目本来可能不错，但在从上午10点到下午6点整整一天的排队时间里，我们只玩到了4个刺激类项目和3个其他景点；期间我们还在队列中吃了些零食，并休息了15分钟吃午饭。
我们原本打算顺道去阿尔顿塔游玩一下，还好最后没去。
我们原本对此满怀期待，这里其实很有潜力，但总体来看，真的令人失望。
