Dirty, Unhygienic Lodge and Very Disappointing Stay at Enchanted Village

点评：We recently stayed for 1 night in Lodge 736 at the Enchanted Village at Alton Towers and unfortunately the experience was very disappointing.
The lodge was in an unacceptable state on arrival and did not feel clean or hygienic at all. Specific issues included filthy bed bases, dirty walls near the toilet, cobwebs around the shower frame, and a very dirty interior entrance door. Even inside the radiator housing there was visible dirt build-up that clearly needed stripping down and properly cleaning.
The lodge also had a very strong unpleasant smell when we entered. We had to leave the door open and use deodorant spray just to make the room bearable. On top of this, the TV remote was faulty and would not switch the television off, meaning I had to turn it off manually.
For the amount charged for a short break at Alton Towers, we expected a much higher standard of cleanliness and maintenance. Sadly, the condition of the lodge completely let the stay down.
I have raised the issues directly with the resort and provided photographs, and I hope they take this feedback seriously to improve standards for future guests.
