Abysmal Visit /Museum closed early, and they kept it a secret!

点评：I had houseguests for the New Years and took the three of them downtown today, 31 December, to visit the Asheville Art Museum. Prior making the 15 mile drive I checked the museum web site to make sure the museum was open. Although it is closed New Year's Day, it was open today until 6 pm. Upon entry I noted again the sign on the left side of the glass doors that indicated it was open today until 6 pm. When I attempted to purchase the tickets, the lady at the desk told my apologetically that the museum would close early at 4 pm today, this was in 55 minutes. The young man at the desk said it was posted on the museum "events" page. I did ask why anyone wanting the operating hours would go to the events page and no answer was forthcoming. I was more than embarrassed to tell my guests we would not be visiting the Ashville Art Museum.
Upon returning home, I went to the Asheville Art Museum page to look at the "events" page. It appears the museum does not have an "Events" page!
Bottom line: It was an abysmal experience I will not be repeating as I plan to never return to the Asheville Art Museum.
