Pefkos Beach的点评
点评：First of all, I have to say that Pefkos is an amazing resort. It has wonderful bars, fantastic restaurants, and a great choice of places to eat and drink for everyone. It’s a destination I will always recommend.
However, I was genuinely shocked by the condition of Lee Beach, at the bottom of the strip. My concern isn’t about the cost of the sunbeds—it’s the state of the beach itself.
There was rubbish everywhere. While visitors must take responsibility for disposing of their own litter, the bins were overflowing and hadn’t been emptied for several days. On Tuesday, there was even a used sanitary towel lying on the sand next to one of the bins. We left on Friday, and it was still there.
Along the shoreline, I also saw three sunbed mattresses floating in the sea. Many of the sunbeds were damaged or scattered across the beach. As I walked towards the steps leading to Philosophia Restaurant, I couldn’t believe the amount of litter: empty drinks cans, plastic waste, used tissues, damaged inflatables, and other discarded rubbish.
I spoke to several other tourists, and they all expressed the same opinion—that the beach no longer receives the care and respect it deserves. It’s incredibly disappointing because Pefkos has so much to offer.
The beauty and cleanliness of the beach are a huge part of what attracts visitors. I sincerely hope the local authorities and businesses work together to improve its maintenance before it affects tourism. Pefkos is too special to risk losing loyal, hard-working visitors because of a beach that is being neglected.
