Afternoon at the Abbey

点评：For our get together this year we chose to visit Chalke Abbey with its Christmas market Light trail and of course the house .
Set in acres of land it was quite a drive from the entrance to the house but once there the car parking was plentiful . First stop was for a coffee after the drive . A good choice was available with nibbles and snacks for all tastes.
Nearby was a second hand bookshop , well stocked and like all National trust shops not to expensive .
We ventured into the house and found it interesting but not a lengthy tour , coming out through the cellar tunnels was unique , these were used by the servants so they weren’t seen by others.
Next was the light trail , a nice walk not flat but not too hilly and people of all ages were enjoying the lights .
Give it a go if you can 👍

我们参观了修道院，觉得挺有意思，但参观时间不长。从地窖隧道出来感觉很特别，这些隧道是仆人使用的，所以其他人看不到。
接下来是灯光秀，这是一条不错的步道，路面不平坦，但也不陡峭，各个年龄段的人都很喜欢欣赏灯光。
有机会的话，一定要去看看👍
