点评：Very large historic house (Champion spark plugs money) yet doesn't feel quite so big - as you don't see the 3rd floor or servants' quarters. Georgian revival so could feel stiff, but opens to beautiful landscaping so more welcoming - and the scale is not so huge you couldn't imagine living here :) The guided tour gives access to the 2nd floor and basement - though it is led by well intentioned volunteers and the group is apt to include people who just wandered in vs. having any particular interest in historic properties - adds up to a sometimes less than 'professional' (searching for wrod) experience. Free to wander ground floor at will, there is good historical info in a flip book on display in the library. And you may be able to engage in more depth with your guide; visitors ebb and flow. A nice way to spend 90 minutes or so.
