点评：I was so looking forward to visiting Morskie Oko, which is an incredibly beautiful place, but sadly the experience was overshadowed by the continued use of horses to transport tourists up and down the route.
It was genuinely upsetting to watch horses pulling heavily loaded carriages uphill. They appeared exhausted, and in 2026, when more humane and environmentally responsible alternatives such as electric transport are available, it feels completely unnecessary.
A place of such extraordinary natural beauty should surely be leading the way in protecting both the environment and animal welfare. Visitors who are unable to walk the route could be transported using quiet, electric vehicles instead — providing accessibility without relying on animals to do such physically demanding work.
Morskie Oko is breathtaking, but I left feeling deeply disappointed that this practice is still being allowed to continue. I sincerely hope the authorities responsible for the area will accelerate the transition to a cruelty-free, sustainable alternative.
