点评：I hosted a welcome party the night before my friend’s wedding outside by the “dance floor”. I had a vision for the party that was thwarted at every turn by the “rules” with little to no interest in vision and creativity. The planning process was rigid and felt like being “nickeled and dimed” to death despite a budget of $40k. For that amount of money, I expected top level service with people who were trying to create and execute my vision. The coordinator assigned to me changed multiple times and on the evening of the party she didn’t even show up. I rented tables, chairs, linens and furniture vignettes from an outside vendor and Destination Geneva National only allowed us to start setup 90 minutes before the party was to begin. When my guests arrived they had to weave in and out of dozens of golf carts that were strewn in their path waiting to be put away.
