点评：We stumbled on Antiche Dogane during an evening wander and ended up staying far longer than planned — the kind of unplanned stop that becomes the highlight of the trip.
The young guys welcomed us in like old friends. He has that rare gift of reading what you actually want from a glass of wine, then pulling something off the shelf you’d never have picked yourself. Every pour came with a story — the vineyard, the family, the year — and never once felt like a sales pitch. Just genuine love for what’s in the bottle.
The cheese and charcuterie board was simple and perfect: properly aged pecorino, salami with real character, a little drizzle of honey, all chosen to play off whatever we were drinking. Nothing fussy, nothing performative — just good things on a board, the way it should be.
What stayed with us most, though, was the feeling of the place. Tucked just off the tourist drag near the Accademia, but a world away from it. Small, warm, unhurried. We came in for one glass and left two hours later having tasted half of Tuscany and made a friend.
