Disappointing trip

点评：Went for a birthday trip, the hotel looks amazing from the outside and the location is nice on the lake with lovely views. However we were severely disappointed. The hotel upstairs and the rooms we felt were dated, the staff weren’t particularly helpful. It was a busy weekend with the weather being nice, however no priority is given to residence actually paying to be there. We walked out of the restaurant from our table because it was about 20 minutes and no one even came to ask us for a drink. We spent the majority of the time in the hotel across the road as we were so disappointed with here. In the morning for breakfast, we were waiting near the bar thinking someone would seat us, staff walked past and no one informed us we had to go down to the steps to sign in for breakfast. We then sat there waiting to be served whilst people who came in after us were served first. In the end I just went up to the counter to order. The bar taps outside in the bar were off so had to go into the packed pub to order. The tables outside were full of glasses and pizza boxes people had just left and no staff around to clean up. Was quite disappointed with this as for years I’ve driven past and wanted to go! Deffo won’t go again and deffo not with £280 for one night!
