点评：Our safari experience in Karongwe Private Game Reserve (Greater Kruger) was extraordinary — and it was entirely because of the exceptional guides and trackers.
We began with Peter Mike and tracker Alfred, who set an incredibly high standard. Peter’s energy, humor, and deep bush knowledge made every drive engaging and educational. Alfred’s tracking skills were masterful - watching him and Peter Mike read the land, interpret subtle signs, and lead us to remarkable sightings was fascinating. Together, they balanced expertise, safety, and reverence for the wildlife beautifully.
One of the most surreal moments of our lives happened here: seeing all of the Big Five in a single afternoon, culminating in a mother rhino with her newborn calf less than a week old. It felt ethereal. This dynamic duo also elevated the experience with thoughtful bush coffees and a scenic sundowner overlooking hippos - hospitality in the wild at its finest.
We also had drives with Wesley (Head Guide), whose calm authority and deep respect for the bush were palpable. He led us to incredible lion sightings and even an unforgettable on-foot cheetah encounter. Guide Jeremiah brought warmth and personality, ensuring meaningful time with lions, rhinos, and giraffes. Our final drives with Peter (who has decades of experience in the reserve) and tracker Jambo, , were playful, skillful, and deeply knowledgeable - you could feel their love for the land and animals.
