Atrocious snow coverage on ski routes from Zurs to Lech

点评：I've stayed in Lech once and been many times from a neighbouring resort as everything in Lech tends to be expensive. There's a good variety of pistes and they are generally decent - the sun facing ones will get soft in the afternoon. The connection to Warth is nice for some more peaceful skiing and cheaper food.
One issue I noticed this year in the last week of January was the White Ring route which is often promoted had truly atrocious coverage in one place. There's normally a handful of very small bits of rock poking out ready to scratch your skis but this year the 170-173 (easy) ski routes after the Madloch chair lift had a left turn at the end of a wide section onto a 20m narrow road-like section which was mostly rock with a dusting of snow. I was going slowly and noticed the crowd of people side stepping gingerly down one edge. I heard one fast skier turn the corner and then realise there was no safe option but to scrape straight over it. I've never seen a run in such poor condition in 20 years. One might argue this is a ski route but to me it was irresponsible from a safety point of view that day to open the Madloch lift particularly as this is part of Der Weiße Ring and a commonly used route to get to Lech from Zurs. The snow has been thin so far in 2026 in many Austrian resorts so they'd know this was a potential risk even without inspecting the ski route.
